03 TECHNOLOGY
Three defenses that make copying extremely difficult.
Blockchain recording
A digital signature of the registration is recorded on the Bitcoin blockchain and cannot be altered later.
Copy detection
Detects reuse of scan data (replay) and warns on the spot.

- Copying a tag's contents verbatim
- The signing key stays inside the tag and cannot be read out. A clone cannot produce a valid signature.

- Reposting or reusing a scanned URL
- Reads whose tap counter hasn't advanced are judged as "copied" and flagged with a warning.

- Registering under another company's brand
- Registrations are signed with a per-company secret key. Third parties without the key cannot become the same registrant.

- Altering contents after registration
- The registration signature is recorded on the blockchain. Once recorded, alterations can be detected by comparison.

- Attaching fake tags that lead to a fake site
- Authentic verdicts are always shown on bp.manica.jp. Combine this with guidance on which domain to check.

- Moving a genuine tag onto a fake product
- Combine with physical attachment methods such as tamper-evident tags that break when removed, or sealing tags inside packaging.
